Qatar Airways Won Skytrax

Qatar Airways was announced as the World's Best Airline at the Skytrax 2017 World Airline Awards. Voted Best Airline by travelers from around the world in the annual passenger survey, the Doha airline has won the prestigious Airline of the Year for the fourth time. Qatar Airways enjoyed greater success by winning major awards for the World's Best Business Class, the World's Best First Classroom and the Best Airline in the Middle East.

Singapore Airlines, a favorite of the awards, ranked no. 2 in the world and also received awards such as Best Airline in Asia, the best Business Seat and to have the Best Economy Economy on board.

Known as the "Oscars of the aviation industry," the World Airline Awards are held in high esteem for the clarity of the process and independence, with no outside sponsorship or external influence. The survey's voting processes and the analysis of award results were subjected to a detailed and independent evaluation by the UK Advertising Authority (ASA) in 2015 and were considered to be fully compliant, transparent and independent.

The survey allows any airline in the world to be nominated, allowing travelers to make their own choice, underlining the brand as the Passenger Choice Awards.

19.87 million eligible entries in the survey were counted in the final results, and 105 nationalities participated in the survey from August 2016 to May 2017. The survey covered more than 325 airlines, online and service factors At the airport and on board environments.
